Architectural Analysis Prompt 1

Built Upon on the hill, the Edificio Jaraguá faces Sao Paulo's two main axes, the Tietê and Pineiros valleys. The apartments can enjoy different views from the opposite sides of the building. By dividing and rearranging the floors, Paulo da Rocha created different heights within every apartments. This is a modular housing project that begins with a case study of typical high-rise apartment buildings such as Edificio Jaragua in Brazil. The site is in a community near the Science museum of Virginia in Richmond. The project features the exploitation of the roof surface as a public space and a green space.
