La Tourette & the Culinary Institute

This project is to design a building for a culinary institute near the water street parking garage in Richmond, Virginia. It aims to become an inclusive project that will not only be an education institute but a place to serve the community. The project starts from a case study of Le Corbusier's famous La Tourette monastery. By studying the speciality and elegant introduction of natural light in the project, the project reapplied the techniques in a different context and display a unique understanding of the site.
